What is Pony Club? Pony Club is a misnomer; it is not a club for ponies. It is an educational organization that teaches horsemanship and the care of horses and ponies. Pony Club is a worldwide organization that originated in Great Britain. The Unitied States Pony Clubs (USPC) was founded as a non-profit national youth horsemanship organization in 1954.
Today, there are over 640 Pony Clubs nationwide, with over 12,500 members. Pony Club members can stay active until age 25.
Pony Club activities include, jumping, dressage, mounted games, eventing, polocrosse, tetrathlon, quiz(unmounted competition), mounted camps, international exchange opportunities, regional seminars on many topics, foxhunting, and scholarships.
Silver State Pony Club has members ranging in age from 4 to 18 years old. Our members ride, learn, and compete together in and out of the arena. |
